This adapter plate was made using the plans found in this thread. I paid $16 for a piece of 3/8" plate steel 12" x 15". I had a friend drill and countersink the holes because he has access to a digital readout milling machine. The cutting, tapping, and welding I did myself. The plate is very similar to the Acme adapter plate, of course this one only set me back under $50, not $425+. It also took a lot more work, but I enjoy work.
